Hoagies – all things gifted. A good place to start. Look for Gifted 101.

SENG (Social Emotional Needs of the Gifted) – Good general information and a collection of excellent articles.

Davidson Institute – a US based organisation  supporting the needs of gifted children with a comprehensive database of articles and resources covering a range of topics. Search by author, keyword or topic.

Prufrock Press includes blogs and podcasts as well as publications

Other Organisations
Quest Lifelearning Specialist in providing innovative education for home based learners. Theirs is an experience based approach, developing and gaining wisdom through real life, nitty gritty, down to earth discovery. Quest Lifelearning have taken over the organisation of the Holiday Programs previously organised by Thinking Ahead.

Gifted Minds is based in NSW. Services include the assessment of intellectual ability in gifted individuals using the Stanford Binet 5th Edition test, mentoring and/or counselling for gifted adolescents, counselling for adults regarding personal and parenting issues related to intellectual giftedness, and parents talks. Fiona Smith and Dr Minh Nguyen-Hoan aim to assess and identify your child’s profile of intellectual strengths and weaknesses and help you celebrate and cater for this. They are skilled at finding creative-divergent children whose gifts may be ‘invisible’ in the classroom. Fiona and Minh travel to WA on a regular basis for assessments.

Australian Gifted Support offers a wide range of services to gifted children, their parents or caregivers and their teachers. AGS also organises camps for gifted kids in WA on an annual basis and offers Family Games nights once a month in the Perth area.

Wikiversity – Set Learning free. Wikiversity is a community for the creation and use of free learning materials and activities. Wikiversity is a multidimensional social organization dedicated to learning, teaching, research and service. Its primary goals are to Create and host free content, multimedia learning materials, resources, and curricula for all age groups in all languages and to develop collaborative learning projects and communities around these materials

Home Based Learning Network (HBLN) WA – supporting home learning in WA. Newsletter and Events, information about legal issues as well the philosophy behind home education.

The Renzulli Learning Differentiation Engine (TM) puts students in touch with engaging, individualized resources specially chosen for their interest areas and learning styles. Now available to families, maybe useful for homeschoolers.
