A Gifted and Talented Conference May 8 2006 Featured Presenter: Stan Bailey to he held at the John Inverarity Music and Drama Centre, Hale School, Wembley Downs Recognising and meeting the needs of the gifted and very able children in our schools provides challenges for both teachers and school leaders. This conference will provide an opportunity to explore a range of issues including:
Featured Presenter Retired Associate Professor Stan Bailey (UNE) Stan Bailey is an Honorary Fellow in the School of Education, at the University of New England, Armidale, NSW. He is a Life Member of Australia’s national association, the AAEGT and has presented at conferences on gifted education around Australian as well as in a number of overseas countries. He was the project manager and part of the writing team which produced in 2005 the Australian Government’s Gifted and Talented Education Professional Development Package for Teachers. Currently he is a team member presenting a series of parent information workshops on gifted education, in regional and remote locations around Australia.
