Immerse
yourself in Japanese language and culture. Come along and learn to read and
write the Japanese alphabet and learn some simple conversation. You can also try
your hand at some calligraphy, Japanese card games and some origami if there is
time You will need to bring your pencil case Mutsuko has taught Japanese language and culture in a number of centres while living around Australia including a Rudolf Steiner school in Bowral, NSW. She was sent as Cultural Ambassador to Broome to teach Japanese in various schools there by the Hyogo Cultural Centre. She has also taken a group of young children to Japan for a cultural exchange Mutsuko is also a renowned artist. Blending techniques borrowed
from Japanese chigiri-E (torn paper) and collage with her experience with glass
mosaic, oil painting, batik and ceramics, her art depicts Western Australian
wildflowers and landscapes and is in collections both locally and overseas. She
has exhibited in Tokyo, Paris, Brussels, Siena (Italy) and San Francisco in
addition to regular exhibitions in Perth, Canberra and Sydney. |
